We are the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 291 in Newport Beach, California. Our membership consists of women whose sons, husbands, fathers, grandfathers, brothers, sisters, daughters, mothers or grandmothers have served in the military during war time. We invite you to review our website, come on down and visit our facility, download an application, and consider joining our organization. We work together in supporting the aims and goals of the American Legion and numerous charitable and cause worthy organizations by conducting various fundraising campaigns and special events. We have a lot of fun and it's a great opportunity to meet other women in the area and get involved with making a difference.

“Yes, I can help with that. Sure I’ll head that committee. I will be glad to take care of it.” From the day she joined the Auxiliary 14 years ago those are the words from Roxie Tarwater. Holding an officer position 11 out of her 14 years, Roxie is always willing to help where ever needed to benefit not only the Auxiliary but for the Legion and yacht Club events. A few years ago she told the Auxiliary she was going to raffle off a car and everyone thought she was crazy. Well not taking no for an answer, that year proved to be one of the Auxiliay's biggest fund raisers.

ATTENTION
In order to preserve our liquor license, non-profit status, and to comply with the ABC ruling for private clubs; we are requiring all guests to sign the guest book and be accompanied by a Post 291 member. All guests will be required to wear a “Guest Name Tag."

Don’t Forget every Friday night a live band performs from 7:00PM to 11:00PM. It is a tremendous time of dancing and fun, plus it’s a great way to meet other members. Rekindle the love, make it a date, and come out on Friday’s for an evening of entertainment.
Also, Sunday afternoons, Party on the Patio with a Live Band, Dancing, Bar, and Burn Your Own. The prices are right, the people are great and view can't be beat.
