Rules and Regulations
The American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291
(Ratified by the E-Board on 10/03/2006
and adopted by the membership vote on 01/10/2007)
Parking:
1. Parking privileges are extended ONLY while member is patronizing the Post facilities. No parking for non-post activities.
2. For other than Marina slip renters, overnight parking is prohibited without a special parking permit. Permits may be obtained from the office or on-duty bartender.
3. Trailer parking is prohibited without prior authorization from the office.
4. Vehicles over 19’ 6” in length are prohibited.
5. Dogs in the parking lot must be on a leash and attended.
6. Parking access cards are for the exclusive use of members only.
7. Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.
8. Parking in fire lanes is prohibited.
Launching and Marina Facilities:
1. Unauthorized boat launching is prohibited.
2. The marina boat slips are for the exclusive use of lessees.
3. The guest dock is for authorized guests only. Authorization to use the guest dock must be previously obtained from the office.
4. Questions regarding the lease of marina slips should be directed to the office.
Beach, Bar and Post Facility
Bar and Lounge:
1. Bar patrons must be dressed appropriately. Bathing suits and bare feet are prohibited.
2. Minors are prohibited from sitting or standing at the bar.
3. Minors are prohibited from the member’s lounge unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
Beach and Patio:
1. Do not bring sand into the building or onto the patio.
2. Glass is prohibited on the beach.
3. Smoking within 20 feet of doorways is prohibited.
General:
1. Dogs (except service dogs) are prohibited from all areas of the facility except the parking lot.
2. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
3. Everyone attending post events must purchase a ticket prior to attending the event (if required).
4. Members are excluded from private events unless invited.
5. Removing post property/equipment from the facility is prohibited without the prior permission of the post Commander or his designee.
6. Members must sign in all guests.
