Facility Care Fund
Since 1924, Newport Harbor American Legion Post 291 has stood as a gathering place for service, camaraderie, and community. For over a century, this Post has been more than a building, it has been a home for generations of veterans and their families.
Today, our facility serves approximately 4,000 veterans. It is where friendships are formed, support is found, memories are honored, and service continues long after the uniform is retired.
Our building holds history in every room. It has welcomed home those returning from war, comforted families in times of loss, celebrated milestones, and provided strength when it was needed most. While many upgrades and repairs have been completed over the years, time and heavy use have taken their toll. Our building is aging, and ongoing maintenance and improvements are essential to ensure it remains safe, welcoming, and functional for current and future generations.
The Facility Care Fund directly supports the preservation, maintenance, and necessary upgrades of our Post home. Every contribution — large or small — helps protect this historic space and ensures that Post 291 continues to serve those who have served our nation.
By donating, you are investing in:
- The preservation of a historic community landmark
- A welcoming gathering place for thousands of veterans and families
- The long-term sustainability of Post 291’s mission
Help us honor the past while building for the future.
Your generosity today ensures that Post 291 will continue standing strong for decades to come.
